From Connections to Collaborations – SWHEC General Assembly Reviews a Successful Year

The greatest value of a professional community built on trust often cannot be measured by a single event or decision, but rather by the relationships that later give rise to collaborations. At the general meeting of the South Transdanubian Machinery Industry Cluster, the professional achievements of the past year were also summarized.

The DDGK held its annual general meeting and the 107th Benchmarking Club event at the Bóly site of Aquacut Kft. The membership unanimously approved the cluster’s professional and financial reports, as well as the 2026 budget.

The professional report presented not only the programs of the past year but also their tangible results. A good example of this is the collaboration between Asinox Kft. and Fórum-Plussz Kft., which began at a benchmarking meeting and has since developed into a business partnership.

At recent benchmarking meetings, topics such as opportunities for defense industry suppliers, the application of artificial intelligence in production, generational succession and asset management in family businesses, as well as practical experiences with joint procurement and digitization were on the agenda. The 42 cluster members participating in joint fuel procurement saved a total of more than 9 million forints last year, and thanks to the DDGK scholarship program, 84 students took part in company plant tours.

The cluster’s development plans for the coming years were also presented at the general meeting, and the professional program concluded with a tour of Aquacut Kft.’s new facility in Bóly.
