The South West Hungarian Engineering Cluster Scholarship Programme aims to strengthen cooperation between vocational education and the manufacturing industry while encouraging young people to pursue careers in engineering.
The programme is open to vocational school students and teachers from Southern Hungary who are involved in engineering, electronics and automotive education. Participants are encouraged to visit the production facilities of the Cluster’s member companies, where they gain first-hand experience of modern manufacturing technologies, industrial processes and career opportunities. These company visits are a core element of the programme and provide valuable practical insights that complement classroom education.
Teachers are recognised for actively organising and accompanying student groups on company visits, thereby strengthening the connection between schools and industry. Students participate in multiple site visits, prepare professional summaries or presentations based on their experiences, and are evaluated on both their academic performance and programme activities.
Beyond financial recognition, the Scholarship Programme helps participants build professional networks, discover potential employers and gain a better understanding of today’s manufacturing environment. It also supports Cluster member companies in connecting with the next generation of skilled profession
