CabTec is a multinational wire harness manufacturer with over 1000 employees in 5 locations worldwide and has been on the market for 50 years. The group produces more than 10,000 different items ranging from sophisticated individual cables to complex cable assemblies for four main markets: automotive, medical, high-tech and industrial & construction.
It has sites in Szekszárd and Kecskemét in Hungary. In Szekszárd, products are typically manufactured for the automotive industry for a number of global customers in Europe and NAFTA. The company employs more than 450 people on an area of more than 8,000 m² and is engaged in the following activities: component assembly, crimping, soldering, welding, taping and clean room technology production. The site’s departments are: production, project coordination, quality assurance, logistics, operational and strategic purchasing and customer relations. The Kecskemét site also carries out almost identical activities on an additional 6000 m2 area with 350 employees for other industries.
