ZIEHL-ABEGG Motor- and fan manufacturer Ltd. is one of the largest employers in Somogy County. It is based in Marcali, since 1994. The owner is the German company ZIEHL-ABEGG GmbH & Co., which manufactures air handling equipment, special electric motors, axial and radial fans and related products.
ZIEHL-ABEGG has 4700 employees worldwide, 16 production sites, 29 companies and 112 dealerships. ZIEHL-ABEGG’s strategy is based primarily on outstanding quality, a ‘king class’ approach and customer focus. In the field of air handling, control and drive technology, they think in terms of system solutions and their developments point to the future.
ZIEHL-ABEGG Ltd. mainly produces fan components for its parent company and its sister companies. Thanks to continuous development and the agility of the management, the company employs today nearly 850 people. The company’s main activity is the production of fan components, including the winding of electric motor stator parts, the production of fan guards and the casting of aluminium components. Production is carried out in three large units: the Grid Shop for fan guards, the Winding Shop for wound iron cores and complete stator assemblies, and the High Pressure Aluminium Foundry for fan blades and rotors.

The main driver of planned investments is the field of robotics and automation, which has made it possible to acquire, for example, a new automatic production machining centre in 2022 and new robotised welding cells.
