Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya

The management organization of the South West Hungarian Engineering Cluster is the Chamber of Com- merce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya. The chamber, besides being the voice of business in Baranya county, provides its members with the best possible services and professional advice.

It plays a leading role in the region in creating a business and economic environment in which its members prosper and can compete effectively domestically and on the world market.

On the one hand, the aim of the chamber is to provide a wide range of support to developing family companies in the SME sector, that are already working here and are strongly connected to the local ecosystem, and to involve the government, local governments and the university in this work. The development of the local supplier and business ecosystem is of key importance for these successful companies. On the other hand – in addition to activating the existing development potential for the county – it is also a task of the chamber to attract knowledge-intensive industrial investments employing between 25 and 500 people. One of the main tools of organization of economy is the enhancement of local collaborations along the exploration and iden- tification of entrepreneurial competencies.

  • The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is the European Union’s only and at the same time the largest busi- ness development network in the EEN – launched by the European Commission – offers high quality services for the growth of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in all EU Member States and beyond. The chamber is the regional representative of EEN in South West Hungary. It can connect with companies, institutions and organizations in more than 60 countries of the network, and uses the expertise of 3 000 colleagues in 600 offices to obtain market information and deliver it to its destination.
