The Open4Business international business meeting was a great opportunity for SWHEC to build business relationships with companies related to the domestic and international engineering industry. Several negotiations resulted in immediate cooperation, for example the optimization of the production process or potential work, and new technologies from other companies were also revealed, offering further opportunities for cooperation.
The Enterprise Europe Network office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya, specializing in international business development, organized a face-to-face meeting for international businesspeople in Pécs again, after the temporary online B2B solutions. The Open4Business is a B2B negotiation event, which has been regularly held since 2016, was organised under a new framework this year, in connection with the Pollack Expo.
The business partner search facility offered to exhibitors is an extra – free of charge – service provided by the organisers, which greatly helps the efficiency of the stand presence and the access to new partners. Moreover, those who came specifically for the purpose of negotiation also had the opportunity to meet the exhibitors. It is hoped that at future events, these companies will also participate as exhibitors, welcomed by the organizing PTE Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.
The event also included a large-scale ‘networking dinner’ for 400 people and group company visits to support personal networking.
The ‘Open4Business International B2B Matchmaking 2024’ negotiations were attended by 71 participants – 80 companies and cluster organisations from 4 countries (Sweden, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary). Preliminary feedback suggests that numerous business partnerships and forward-looking collaborations are emerging.
How useful did you find your business meetings? Will there be a result in the short or long term?
“Even the very first negotiation was about a concrete offer. Since then, we have continued the discussion, the short-term outcome is clear, the long-term impact we see is more in terms of demonstrating and representing our manufacturing capabilities; for example, joint start-up opportunities in future projects.”
“I had successful negotiations, long-term agreements are not yet visible, given it has been less than a week, but I am optimistic.”
“Thank you for having me at the business meeting last week, I had successful negotiations with you and at the expo. If you have any similar events coming up, feel free to email me and I’ll be there.”
